Actress Katherine McPhee is the latest star to get caught cheating with her also-married director.


TMZ had the first photos of McPhee kissing her former “Smash” director Michael Morris in Hollywood, and we have to say it didn't look like they were trying to hide anything -- despite the fact both are married to other people.


The 29-year-old former "American Idol" contestant married producer Nick Cokas, 47, in 2008; Morris is married to actress Mary McCormack, with whom he has three daughters under the age of 10. The status of both their marriages remains unclear, although sources told Life & Style magazine that McPhee and her husband have been separated for six months and have been living apart.


Neither McPhee nor Morris has commented since the publication of their very public make out session on Tuesday, but when the singer wed Cokas back in 2008, she told People magazine, "[Nick] is the love of my life. This is a once in a lifetime occasion and everything is just perfect."


A few years later, McPhee was singing a slightly different tune when she spoke to Shape magazine about her marriage in 2011. "Everyone said it would be hard, but I didn't believe them. Surprise, surprise. It was really difficult! I had to switch from 'me' mode to 'we' mode. But that's not a negative thing, it's just a challenge. That's been my biggest lesson since 'Idol' and getting married, that life is not what you expect. Acknowledging that helped me grow up fast," she explained.
