The only thing better than laughing at other people being pranked is when those being fooled are rich and famous.

And as these videos of Simon Cowell, Lady Gaga, Olly Murs and more prove, their celebrity status doesn't give them immunity from a good old fashioned prank.

Check out our roundup of the best celeb pranks EVER!

  • Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell finally got his comeuppance thanks to those naughty little rascals Ant and Dec as part of a prank on 'Saturday Night Takeaway'. The Geordie duo auditioned for the 'American Idol' in disguise, singing cringemaking rendition of 'Opposites Attract', leaving Mr Nasty shocked when they revealed their true identity.

  • Olly Murs

JLS's stunt for 'Stand Up To Cancer' left pal Olly Murs fearing he had killed Aston Merrygold. Olly believed he was live on Channel 4 presenting and had to hit a button so that Aston would shoot out of a human cannon. 'Aston' overshot the padded area and into a large wooden stage, which left Olly frozen while the JLS boys dashed over to see if their bandmate was ok.

  • Lady Gaga

Before she was dressing up in offcuts of steak and flashing her Lady Ga-garden on stage, a very innocent looking Stefani Germanotta (aka Lady Gaga) was pranked on MTV show 'Boiling Points'. The aim of the game was for the waiting staff to wind her up as much as possible during a visit to a New York restaurant, winning $100 if she could make it to 14 minutes without swearing. Gaga could only manage 12, the potty mouth.

  • Helen Flanagan

Helen Flanagan fell victim to magician Ben Hanlin on ITV2's 'Tricked' and was left seriously spooked after believing she'd seen a ghost. She taken to the old haunted house under the illusion she was taking part in a photoshoot, but she attempted to flee the manor after being tricked thinking she'd seen a spooky vision.

  • One Direction

Ant and Dec also used their prankster tricks to fool One Direction. The pair had the pop band seriously worried when a super fan (who was actually a disguised Dec) required medical help after suffering an asthma attack. Of course, Mr Styles was on hand with the oxygen mask, only to find out it was all a fake!

  • Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise had a sense of humour bypass when an intrepid reporter squirted him in the face with water, during a red carpet interview. "Why would you do that?" and irate Tom yelled. Trust us, his facial reaction is absolutely priceless!

  • Jeremy Kyle

Ant and Dec pranking Jeremy Kyle is possibly our all time favourite clip. We'll say no more and let you enjoy it in all it's glory. Absolute genius!

  • Will Smith

Will Smith was promoting "Men in Black 3" in Moscow, when an overly affectionate TV reporter offered him a hug and attempted to kiss him. "Hey man, what the hell is your problem?" Will exclaimed, and pushed him away, before slapping the man in the face. Don't mess with the Fresh Prince!

  • Ryan Seacrest

At the 84th annual Academy Awards, Sacha Baron Cohen (dressed as Admiral General Aladeen, his character from 'The Dictator') spilled an urn filled with "Kim Jong-il's ashes" all over E! host Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, explaining that it was Kim Jong-il's "dream to come to the Oscars and to be sprinkled over the red carpet and over Halle Berry's chest." Ryan later tweeted, "My mom always told me to pack two jackets for red carpets, always wondered why. Now I know."

  • Girls Aloud

Girls Aloud received a good old dressing down from a pair of Irish nuns (also known as Ant and Dec) on a fake TV show. Cue very awkward looks and nervous giggling from all five ladies, before the Geordie duo reveal their true identity.

  • Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian had a run-in with a bag of flour while promoting her new fragrance, True Reflection. Kimmy was covered in white powder by a woman in the hotel lobby. "That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me," she later told E! Online. "Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of translucent powder right there."

  • Taylor Swift

Proof that Justin Bieber has always had a wicked streak - he made Taylor Swift CRY in this prank for Punk'd.

  • Kate Moss

Nick Grimshaw's pal Kate Moss wasn't safe from his Call Or Delete feature on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, receiving a prank call live on the show. However, Mossy had her wits about her and soon realised what was going on when Keith Lemon jumped the line, and promptly hung up on her friend. Awk.
