It's hard to believe, but Boyzone - the second most successful boyband in Britain, ever - are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.
It's been two decades since 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh, then a theatrical manager, put an advertisement out in the Irish press for auditions to form an Irish group to take on Take That.
Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch answered the call and made the cut, we like to imagine Louis told them "you're my ready made popstars".
Since 1993 they've scored 18 top 10 hits in the UK Singles Chart, six number one singles and five number 1 albums, with 25 million records sold by 2013 worldwide.
Not only did they provide some stiff chart competition for Take That's Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams, but they also sparked debates worldwide over which band was better. Let's face it, most boyband fans either love one or the other.
So as Louis' proteges prepare to set off on their 20th anniversary tour, minus the late Stephen Gately, we aim to help you find out once and for all - should you be an Irish ballader or a cheeky dance troupe member? *
