Hayden Panettiere is engaged!
The pint-size "Nashville" star revealed she was engaged to boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko while on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" Wednesday morning. Though her rep has since confirmed the news, Panettiere appeared to announce the news accidentally, when astute host Kelly Ripa noticed the giant diamond on Panettiere's hand. "Are you engaged?" Ripa asked Panettiere, who answered, simply: "Yes."
Panettiere, 24, has been dating Ukrainian boxer Klitschko, 38, since 2009, after meeting through a mutual friend at a book party. The couple split briefly before reuniting last year, much to the media's delight.
"It's like the 2.0 version. I've always had great relationships and stayed really good friends with the guys I've dated. It blows my mind sometimes that us getting together has gotten so much attention. It's like, 'Really? This is breaking news?'" the actress told Glamour magazine in April.
She also hinted that motherhood may not be too far away: "I feel like I was born to be a mother … I would sacrifice having more years of being wherever I want whenever I want for years with my kids."
