Just in case you needed further proof that Miley Cyrus is totally 420-friendly, the controversial pop star cleared the air while on "Alan Carr: Chatty Man" earlier this month. During the interview, the 20-year-old revealed she spent seven hours in a cafe in Amsterdam, where marijuana can be legally dispensed. Yep, seven hours.

Here's what she said:

"There was business and pleasure. But [the Amsterdam trip] was more pleasure. It wasn't on the map. I had never been there before, so obviously I needed to go … Did I look different going in than I did going out? Didn't you know that coffee [in Amsterdam] makes your eyes like this and gives you mad cotton mouth?"

Cyrus' jokey comments bring to mind all the other times the "We Can't Stop" has referenced smoking in her career. In 2010, Cyrus (then 18) was videotaped partying and inhaling smoke from a bong, which she later said was the herb salvia, not marijuana.

Her defense was made moot, however, a scant 11 months later when, during her 19th birthday party, Cyrus was presented with a Bob Marley-themed birthday cake. "You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake," she said. "You know you smoke way too much fucking weed!"

Cyrus' weed-smoking stories don't appear to worry dad Billy Ray Cyrus, though. The "Achy Breaky Heart" singer took to "Piers Morgan Live" Thursday to defend Cyrus' reputation and her outlandish performance at the MTV VMAs. "She's an artist. She's real. I think that what's happened over the years, Miley has been reinventing her sound. She's evolving as an artist herself. I think that all of what everyone is calling controversy now, that's still my Miley," he said.
