Jim Parsons won the 2013 Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy.

Sheldon Cooper is back on top. Parsons has reclaimed his title as the Best Actor in a Comedy for CBS' "Big Bang Theory," having triumphed over "Arrested Development" lead Jason Bateman, "Episodes" MVP Matt LeBlanc, "30 Rock" favorite Alec Baldwin, "Louie's" inimitable Louis C.K. and "House of Cards" star Don Cheadle.

This is Parsons' third Emmy win and fifth nomination for his "Big Bang" role -- he previously won in 2010 and 2011. Just one more award to add to the genius Dr. Cooper's lengthy list of achievements.

"The Big Bang Theory" returns to CBS on Thurs., Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
