'X Factor' Hopeful Joseph Whelan Brands Sharon Osbourne 'Offish' And Says He's 'Gutted' Tulisa Is Not On The Judging Panel

'X Factor' hopeful Joseph Whelan might be through to the bootcamp stage of the show but he better hope Sharon Osbourne is in a good mood when he next performs after he branded her 'offish'.

Joseph - who also made it through to bootcamp last year - also admitted he's 'gutted' that Tulisa is no longer a judge on the show because she had a 'soft spot' for him.

Speaking to Yahoo OMG!, he said: ''I'm gutted that Tulisa's not here this year, because I think she had a bit of a soft spot for me last year which was cool and I know she was fighting to keep me in last year.''

He added: ''At the same time Sharon Osbourne is here and she would typically be a great mentor for me if I get through as well, but - so far she's been a bit offish with me.

''She gives me great comments but always leaves me feeling unsure."

And Jospeh also revealed that Mrs.O called him personally to tell him she didn't think he was right for 'The X Factor'.

''Like at the arena, you didn't really get Sharon on Sunday but afterwards she called me and said, 'You're a handsome rock God, but I don't think you're right for this competition.' So first I feel great and then straight back down to Earth with a bang,'' he said

Meanwhile, a trailer for the new-style 'X Factor' bootcamp has debuted and sees Sharon telling a hopeful, "I don't want wimps," and Nicole gasping: "It's like a boxing match in here."
