Chris Hemsworth is speaking out about his brother Liam Hemsworth amid confirmation that he and Miley Cyrus have split.

The "Rush" star, 30, chatted with Ellen DeGeneres about his family and how his younger brother tends to get bothered by the paparazzi in an interview airing today (Sept. 17).

"He seems to get lots and lots of attention as far as paparazzi and partially that was because of the relationship that he's been in," DeGeneres notes, of course referring to Liam's now ex-fiancee Cyrus. "Yeah," Chris agrees, admitting that he and his wife, Elsa Pataky, don't get nearly as much attention.

"I'm lucky. I've spoken to a few people about it. I don't know that you can ever ... It's sort of is what it is. At times you're a target and at times you're not. If you have a film coming out or who you are dating and what have you ... but um, we've been lucky, my wife and I," he explains. "We kind of live a pretty simple boring kind of life. We're not rolling out of clubs at 4 in the morning. Not to say that Liam is by the way ... I mean he has once or twice," Chris jokes.

Liam, 23, and Cyrus, 20, began dating in 2009 after starring in "The Last Song" together. The young lovebirds announced their engagement in May 2012, but have since denied split rumors until yesterday, when their reps finally confirmed the couple called it quits.

Chris has talked about Liam's relationship with Cyrus before, telling E! News he was "very excited" for their nuptials.

"We just want them to live a happy life," he added at the time.
